David Hernandez
David was born in El Paso, Texas, on August 27, 1950. He and his family have spent their entire lives in La Union. He is a proud Gadsden High School graduate. David is married to his beautiful wife, Molly, and they were fortunate to have a family of four boys one of whom is deceased.
David is a veteran who proudly served four years of active duty in the United States Army and then was granted an honorable discharge.
Let me tell you a few more interesting facts about David. One fascinating thing about David is his passion for the traditional sport of horse racing. When he watches the races, he enjoys seeing how fast and beautiful the horses are. He gets an adrenaline rush from an extremely close finish or from predicting which horse will win. In David's opinion, horse racing is a game of strategy and camaraderie. It’s all about the “thrill.”
David, like most of us, likes a good bowl of menudo but especially loves to eat it in the company of his family.
On another note, when the opportunity arises, David likes helping people in his community. He recently enjoyed helping plant trees during the walking trail project organized by La Union Helping Hands and the Townsite of La Union. David loved the fact that we were all working together to beautify the town and construct the trail for our residents.
David is a great team player! He is supportive of our mission and is a team-oriented community resident.
Congratulations David!
You deserve this recognition.
