December 2024 --- Blanca and Anselmo (Chemo) Lazarin
Congratulations Senior of the Month
Blanca and Anselmo Lazarin
Seniors of the Month of December 2024
Anselmo and Blanca would like to thank God for the beautiful work that MaryAnn and the Galindo family do. They have been a blessing to the town of La Union.
Blanca Lazarin. Blanca arrived in this community at the age of 17 from Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua. Her parents were immigrants just like some in La Union. She had the opportunity to attend Gadsden High School for two years. After graduation, she worked as a caregiver for 25 years. Later, she had the opportunity to meet and marry Anselmo Lazarín (Chemo). Blanca enjoys walking for exercise, caring for her grandchildren, and helping the church.
Anselmo Lazarin. Anselmo (Chemo) graduated in 1970 from Gadsden High School and then moved to Albuquerque to finish his studies. He is now retired. For a few years he would help the community by fixing broken water pumps. He was a “mechanic” and had the ability to diagnose a problem and then know how to repair the equipment. He fixed cars and would buy junk to refurbish or make things. Chemo has that valuable technical ability.
Blanca and Chemo participated in the Roadrunner food distribution in La Union.
As you may be aware, Chemo is a wonderful conversationalist. When one talks with him, he has this demeanor which is calm and serene which is a rare quality these days when many people are hurried and rushing around. It’s nice being around someone like Chemo.
They both thank God that they have their two daughters and three grandchildren. They hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
They would like to "thank MaryAnn and the family and may God continue to strengthen your ministry."
Congratulations Blanca and Chemo. You both deserve this recognition.
