Senior of the Month

November 2023  ---  Martha Anaya and Adelaida Jacquez

Congratulations  Senior of the Month

Mrs. Martha Anaya has extensive experience in cooking for parties. Many of us look to her for party help.

Martha and her husband Jose had a family of six (three boys and three girls) They moved from Mexico to the U.S. to make a life in La Union. Mrs. Anaya has much work experience at a Dairy on McNutt and lived there for 20 years until the dairy closed. They purchased property on Visnaga from Chilin Garcia Street and then on San Antonio on Composanto where she presently lives.

She has held down a job all her life and understands and possesses a strong work ethic. Mrs. Anaya has worked at the Sunland Park school cafeteria, Alpo Dog Food factory in Chamberino, Mountain Pass, Our Lady of Refuge Church, and the La Union Station restaurant.

Martha volunteered for Our Lady of Refuge fiestas making gorditas. She possesses a natural talent for culinary arts. Cooking is in her heart. Although Martha is now retired, she continues using her cooking talents to support organizations in La Union. We appreciate her.

Martha’s hobbies are sewing, knitting, gardening and cooking.

CONGRATULATIONS MARTHA for being Senior of the Month.  We appreciate you!!
